BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING

Simple. Sustainable. Transformational.

We do a lot of "Church stuff" but by-and-large we have lost our sense of mission. Listen to what John MacArthur says, "In the Old Testament, we find very clearly reiterated for us on numerous occasions the fact that God designed Israel to be his missionary nation. Collectively they were to represent God in the world; as a nation, they were to demonstrate the benefits of knowing the true God; the benefits of obeying God. They were to be uniquely a witness nation.

In fact, in 1 Chronicles 16:23, we read, "Sing unto the Lord all the earth; show forth from day-to-day His salvation. Declare His glory among the heathen; His wonders among all peoples." And really that was directed at Israel; they were to be the declaring nation. They were to be the witness people. This is no different than the Church. Today as the church we are the witness nation."

Yet, here in America we have lost that Vision as Israel had lost the vision for the high calling of being God's "Witness People." Not all of us are called to be evangelist, but all of us are called to the GREAT COMMISSION.

DEAD RECKONING is simply committing to reaching one person in one year through intentional relational evangelism that captures the essence of the GREAT COMMAND. God has recreated us in Christ Jesus and has poured out His Holy Spirit into us to be reflectors of His glory... though good works that impacts the world and makes Him known - beginning with our neighbor!
